Tennis professional Laura Siegemund reached the round of 16 at the WTA tournament in Warsaw.
The 35-year-old won 6: 4, 6: 1 against her Polish opponent Maja Chwalinska on Monday after 1:30 hours of play. In the next round, Siegmund meets the winner of the Chinese duel between Zhu Lin and Wang Xiyu.
In the afternoon, Siegemund’s compatriot Tatjana Maria will also join the tournament. The 2022 Wimbledon semi-finalist will play her opening match against sixth-seeded Italy’s Camila Giorgi.
