We last reported:

Ed Sheeran, KIZ, Bring Me The Horizon and Avril Lavigne will headline Hurricane and Southside Festival 2024. This was confirmed on Friday (September 22nd) by the organizer of the twin festivals in Scheeßel and Neuhausen ob Eck.

Little needs to be said about Ed Sheeran: with 45 million albums sold to date and stadium tours that have sold out for many years, he is one of the biggest pop stars of our time. He recently released an album (“Substract”) with which he dealt with the hardest time of his life. The next one will be out in a few days. Sheeran will only appear at German festivals next year at Hurricane and Southside.

With their provocative and intelligent lyrics, KIZ are at the forefront of artistic rap in Germany. With their visible commitment to inclusion, democracy and justice, the musicians prove that they don’t just have a big mouth. In 2024, they will only be available to experience exclusively at Hurricane and Southside, according to the organizer. There is also the newly announced new album “Görlitzer Park” (which will be released at the festival on June 21, 2024).

The metal core force Bring Me The Horizon is also traveling from Great Britain. They stand for danceable anthems with a hard rock edge. The formation now also playfully fuses nu metal and pop. At the twin festivals they will perform the songs from their new record “Nex Gen”.

Avril Lavigne will also be there as a surprise guest in Scheeßel and Neuhausen ob Eck next year. In the late 90s, the singer’s female pop-punk became a departure for a whole movement of young heroines who wouldn’t back down from anything. Their songs form the soundtrack in skate parks, clubs and parties around the world. The tracks from their new album “Love Sux” from 2022 will also be the focus at Hurricane and Southside. And of course her global hit “Skater Girl”.
