The powerful eruption of the submarine volcano near the island state of Tonga on Friday led to a huge shock wave that was perceptible even to us. The shock wave passed over Belgium and the Netherlands on Saturday evening between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. The air pressure suddenly shot up, only to take a quick dive back down.
