Fifth victory of the season for Mikaela Shiffrin in the Semmering slalom: the American is increasingly leading the World Cup. At the finish she preceded (by just nine hundredths) the Swiss Rast, also second in the general. Third place was Lara Colturi, second in the specialty cup.
Fifteenth and first Italian on arrival was Martina Peterlini, in the top fifteen for the first time. Lara Della Mea placed herself in twenty-third position: after missing a door, she got back on the race course but accumulated a very heavy delay. These are the top positions in the general World Cup ranking: Shiffrin (USA) 698 points, Rast (Svi) 503, Robinson (N. Zel.) 484, Goggia (Ita) 404, Aicher (Ger) 381. In the specialty cup, however, Shiffrin dominates with 500 points, ahead of Colturi who follows with 280 and Rast, 262.
