Femke Halsema is being bashed quite a bit on television because of her invitation to Princess Amalia (22) for an official visit to Amsterdam. “This isn’t just a bit of self-profiling!”
Although Princess Amalia knows our capital like the back of her hand – she studies there – she has now said yes to Femke Halsema’s request for an official visit. For example, on April 16 and 17 she will cook with children and walk with the police. “And that was all at the invitation of Halsema,” said royalty fan Sandra Schuurhof.
Drink beer
How exactly does that work? Sandra tells in Show news: “She was already invited to the official residence last year, but now she is really going to Amsterdam. She is already studying there, but as the future queen she will also discover everything city by city. Then she will start in the capital, because that is what her father did in 1988.”
The royalty expert continues: “She also accompanies the police all night long, on patrol, among other things. I also think it’s funny, because she obviously goes out often enough and then she now ‘discovers’ the nightlife for the camera. ‘Oh yes?! Oh, nice! Oh, you can also drink beer here!'”
Sneak at Femke
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker thinks it’s a play. “That one [Amalia] can really tell us a lot more than we know, but isn’t this also a bit of a bit of self-profiling from Femke Halsema, isn’t it? Because I mean: I’m an Amsterdammer and when you see how dirty that city is…”
He continues pissed off: “They are running into a debt of 10 billion, the rats are dying and Femke Halsema is not doing anything about it and is only trying to profile herself on the back of Amalia, I have the feeling.”
‘It’s part of it!’
According to Sandra, this is not a PR plan. “This is also part of her training, isn’t it?”
Guido: “To join in the night in Amsterdam and walk with the police? That’s not so special, is it?”
Sandra: “She also goes to the control room and works with all kinds of organizations to see how everything is being renovated and to an organization of vulnerable women.”
Guido concludes: “Well, really nice.”
