On deadline day
Sharjah FC strengthened itself with Maro Katinic (19) on Deadline Day in the United Arab Emirates. The central defender and current U21 international player for Croatia most recently played in his home country for Dinamo Zagreb. He reportedly costs a million euros, making him Sharjah’s most expensive signing this summer. Nothing is yet known about the length of the contract.
The six-time champion had already Moussa Marega (32) signed from Al-Hilal. With Konstantinos Manolas (32), Katinic’s future defense partner, and Miralem Pjanic, the talent will meet other well-known players from Europe.
