Share Amazone forest in Brazil cut down to … a highway to the climate summit

Tens of thousands of hectares of protected Amazon forest are cut down for the construction of a new highway, intended for the COP30 climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belém. That writes the British broadcaster ‘BBC’. The new highway of four lanes wide must facilitate traffic to the city during the November conference, where more than 50,000 people are expected.
