Sex scandal shocks Belgian prison: from orgies in jacuzzi to sex in the director’s office | Abroad

A prison in the Belgian province of Liège has been rocked by a major sex scandal. Several male and female guards participated in sex games that took place both inside and outside the prison.

A small group of employees, including three women, two of whom are under the age of thirty, organized several sex parties after working hours, the French-language newspaper reveals Sudinfo. A 30-year-old female suspect now also appears to be a municipal councilor in a Liège municipality.

This would include orgies where each participant drew a lottery ticket to determine who he or she would have sex with. One of the employees, named P., even organized an orgy in his jacuzzi where each participant received a colored bracelet.

A woman named S. is said to have regularly had sex within the prison walls. A director – who was in charge of a block in the prison – even ‘lent’ her his office so that she could express her sexual desires with colleagues.

Remarkable: the office in question is shared with other colleagues, with a transparent door separating the two spaces. “She is a sex addict,” says an anonymous source Sudinfo. “At 6 o’clock in the morning she announced that she could not work as long as she did not have sex.”

The female colleague already raised eyebrows upon her appointment. Before the woman came to work in the prison, she regularly came there as a visitor, say some anonymous colleagues. Her brother was in custody there for murder. “She was very arrogant towards the guards who guarded the visiting room. Her admission to prison was a bolt from the blue, especially because she went from being a visitor for a year to becoming a colleague overnight.”

Her brother has now been transferred to Huy prison. The woman in question, S., has been transferred to the women’s department to ‘calm her sexual urges’. S. is no stranger to the Liège province. The 30-year-old woman has been a municipal councilor for Défi in the municipality of Ans for many years. Both the woman in question and members of the party did not wish to comment in the French-language media.

François De Smet, the national chairman of Défi, kept it short. “The person concerned will be heard about the facts of which she is accused,” he explains. “We will have no further comment in the meantime.” The mayor of Ans was able to speak to her in the meantime. “I spoke to her on the phone yesterday and she denies the accusations against her,” said the mayor, who emphasizes that it is a private matter ‘that does not belong in politics’.

Calming sexual urges

Dany Delbart, chairman of the Belgian police, reacts critically. “These people should be fired immediately. The prison management now says that procedures will be followed, but ultimately these people will be transferred to other departments or to prisons where they will do it all again. By their behavior they damage the image of all other civil servants who do good work. They have no honor.”

Delbart also questions the training that prison staff receive. “People are recruited quickly and haphazardly, sometimes without even having to undergo training. But regardless of this training, it is up to managers to constantly remind them of the basic rules. There is a lack of supervision. And because they know they are not at risk of being fired, this type of behavior is simply repeated.”

According to Sudinfo, a disciplinary procedure is underway against S. The other officers will still be interrogated by the prison management.
