SEW reached the third round of the EHF European Cup on Sunday afternoon. The handball players were also too strong for HRK Grude from Bosnia in the second game: 25-33. It was already 34-27 on Friday, so SEW moves on to the next round without too much trouble.
Both teams were evenly matched in the first half. The score remained the same for a long time, until SEW opened a small gap just before half time: 16-17.
In the second half, SEW’s diesel engine really started running and the handball players did not look back. The largest margin was at 22-33, after which the Bosnian opponent scored once more. Eline Veltrop played an important role in the victory with ten goals.
It is not yet known who SEW will play in the next round. The matches will in any case be played on November 11 and November 18.
