At least three people have been arrested in Jerusalem during a protest against the agreement between Israel and the Palestinian movement Hamas. The demonstrators blocked roads, pelted vehicles and set fires on public roads. That reports The Times of Israel.

The deal with Hamas announced on Wednesday is causing a stir among some of the Israeli population, who fear that the release of Palestinian prisoners could pose a threat to national security. There is also dissatisfaction with the fact that Hamas continues to exist under the terms of the agreement.

There were also demonstrations against the agreement on Wednesday evening, although there were also large-scale demonstrations in favor of the deal in Tel Aviv, among other places.
