The police have arrested a seventh suspect in the shooting in the Assen district of Lariks last Wednesday. It concerns a 20-year-old man from Assen.
Three suspects aged 19, 20 and 21 have been released. Three others aged 21, 27 and 28 will remain in custody longer. This is what the Public Prosecution Service reports.
The victim, a 24-year-old man from Assen, was shot on Wednesday around a quarter to six near Maria in Campislaan. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
After the shooting incident, four suspects were arrested on Maasstraat. The police arrested a fifth suspect in Schultestraat. On Thursday, the Public Prosecution Service announced that a sixth arrest had taken place. Two cars and two bicycles were also seized.
The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting continues. The Public Prosecution Service does not rule out more arrests.
