Julian Nagelsmann and his team play against France for third place in the Nations League. There are starting eleven changes compared to the Portugal game.
Against Portugal for the German national football team in the semi-finals the dream of the title in the Nations League burst. On Sunday in Stuttgart against France (from 3 p.m. in the T-Online Live ticker) in the “small final”, it is now for third place. And the national coach is planning with a new system – and changes the starting eleven in several positions.
Julian Nagelsmann returns to a chain of four with the DFB team against France and no longer relies on a three or five chain. He also makes changes in individual positions.
Niclas Füllkrug can be happy. He plays together with Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade in a storm. Behind it is BVB professional Karim Adeyemi, who comes across the wings alongside playmaker Florian Wirtz. Adeyemi was only used briefly in the quarter -finals and in the semi -finals and can now prove itself from the start.
There are also changes in midfield. Pascal Groß plays next to Leon Goretzka instead of Aleksandar Pavlović. Great was also at the press conference on Saturday and explained: “To play for Germany, I don’t need to motivate myself greatly. I am extremely looking forward to the game against France, against a big opponent.”
David Raum is preferred on the left defense side, so Maximilian Mittelstädt will take a seat on the bench in his home stadium. In central defense, Jonathan Tah and Robin Koch form the duo against France and captain Joshua Kimmich plays on the right. There is no change in the goal.
