Service club Ladies’ Circle 85 Suydevelt held a campaign for charity last Friday. A beer and wine tasting in the Baander restaurant in Dalen raised 4,000 euros for the Petje Af Zuidoost-Drenthe foundation.
The tasting attracted many visitors. They could taste six different beers and wines, which were explained by owner Jarne Esschendal van de Baander. A suitable snack was served with each round.
Auction generates extra money
There was also an auction, which raised additional money. Afterwards, Petje af representatives received a check for 4,000 euros.
Petje Af wants to support children between the ages of 10 and 14. In Southeast Drenthe, Petje af is active in Coevorden, Schoonoord, Emmer-Compascuum and Dalerpeel.
