The National Amateur League has published the new edition of the National Representatives report, which brings together the best talents of Serie D

The new edition of the National Representatives report is available, a document that analyzes the activity carried out by the youth selections of the LND (National Amateur League) in the 2024/2025 season. Of the young people who carried out activities with the representative teams in the last season, 118 footballers landed in the summer at a Serie A and Serie B club, both men’s and women’s, or Serie C. A number never reached before by the LND and which confirms a constantly growing trend since 2017: one in three from the representative teams goes to professionals. “Ours is a virtuous model that enjoys the support of the Club Italia and the Youth and School Sector – the words of the LND President Giancarlo Abete – and which involves all territorial expressions in intercepting the best talents”.

from representative teams to top football

From the analysis, it is striking how some of the kids who have just crossed the threshold of professionalism are adapting quickly to the new context. The most striking cases concern two boys from Giuliano Giannichedda’s Serie D representative team: Fallou Cham, who in three months moved from D to often be a starter in Serie A with Hellas Verona, and Mathias Ferrante who, despite not yet having officially made his debut, has already made some important appearances in Serie A and in the Champions League with Napoli, champions of Italy. Among the talents on the launching pad, fifteen-year-old Michele Elena should also be taken into consideration, discovered only a few months ago in the Lazio championships (even regional, not elite): the attacker now at Lazio already boasts two appearances with Pasqual’s National Under 16 team in friendlies against Ukraine and Portugal. Here is the complete list of players with experience in the LND shirt who play in Serie A today: Lorenzo Bernasconi (Atalanta), Mattia Felici, Leonardo Pavoletti and Matteo Prati (Cagliari), Edoardo Goldaniga (Como), Federico Baschirotto and Alessio Zerbin (Cremonese), Fallou Cham (Hellas Verona), Mathias Ferrante (Napoli), Emanuele Valeri (Parma), Edoardo Iannoni (Sassuolo)
