Four advance matches from the three groups will open the program for the final first leg. Here’s how they went.

GROUP A

After the slip-up in Trieste, Vicenza relaunches the chase for the top by overwhelming Trento (3-0, fifth victory in a row at the Menti): the ball of the match was brought home by the rediscovered Rolfini, author of a hat-trick with two goal to break the balance already in the first half. Vecchi’s team thus returns to within two points of Padova, which hosts Lumezzane tomorrow (Saturday 14 December) and on Wednesday 18 will make up for the match postponed last weekend due to bad weather in Chioggia. Renate is also smiling, appearing again in the upper areas, narrowly overtaking (1-0) Pro Vercelli (sixth useful result): Plescia resolves in the opening, then Nobile’s saves are decisive in extending a streak of six useful results .

GROUP B & C

In group B, a fair draw between Pineto and Rimini (1-1): in the first half Gambale broke the deadlock with an assist from Bruzzaniti, Romagna equalized from Ubaldi from the spot (foul on Garetto). In group C, a bitter celebration for Altamura which reopens the renovated Tonino D’Angelo stadium (the Minister for Sport Andrea Abodi and the president of the Lega Pro Matteo Marani were present in the stands): on the pitch, however, Avellino passes (3- 1), who took second place for one night at the end of a hard-fought match. Altamura ahead with Rolando, equal to Redan who takes advantage of a blunder by the Viola goalkeeper, overtaking by Patierno but then the final is heated: the post denies Minesso the equalizer, then a minute later Gori scores the hat trick.
