Catania unexpectedly fell against Sorrento, who had emerged unscathed – the only team to date – even from Massimino in the first leg (0-0): immediately ahead with Forte, Mimmo Toscano’s team (with a new defense for two thirds) was joined by Sabbatani and narrowly overtaken by Crecco, while it was the excellent Federico Ricci – on the evening in which his twin Matteo also scored, at Ferraris – who closed the score in the second half. Catania’s slip gives their direct competitors the opportunity to take advantage of it: Benevento (on the Atalanta U23 pitch) can extend their lead, Salernitana (hosting Giugliano) can at least close in on second place.
