In Sunday’s rich programme, one of the most awaited matches is missing: bad weather and strong gusts of wind force the postponement of Clodiense-Padova to a later date, which should have been played at the Ballarin in Chioggia (at the first season opener after the renovation works). Here is everything that happened in the three groups.

group a

Vicenza slips at Nereo Rocco, in the crossroads with a Triestina team totally regenerated by the Tesser treatment: it ends 2-0 with Olivieri’s brace (penalty and double on an assist from Voca), the first joys of the season for the former Venezia striker whose membership it was only unlocked in mid-October. Third in the standings, Feralpisalò, also fell, beaten in Vercelli (1-0, first professional goal by the 19-year-old Coppola): for Banchini, since he replaced Paolo Cannavaro, four points in two games. Second defeat in four days for Atalanta U23, overcome (3-1) by Arzignano who climb back to mid-table: Cerretelli, Bordo and Mattioli scored, the twelfth center from top scorer Vanja Vlahovic was useless. Nice move from AlbinoLeffe, who advanced to Sesto San Giovanni on the Alcione pitch (2-0) with a brace from Mustacchio (for the Bergamo players it was the fourth match in a row without conceding a goal).

group b

Entella was overwhelming, overturning Pineto 4-1 and moving within two points of the leading pair formed by Pescara and Ternana, fully entering the race for direct promotion: in Chiavari the Abruzzo team moved ahead with Schirone, but the draw it arrives immediately with Hadziosmanovic’s own goal and from that moment Entella takes off with Bariti, Di Noia and Casarotto. And so, there are two events to be circled in red on the agenda: Tuesday 10 December, the discussion of the appeal on the two penalty points against Ternana, then on Sunday the direct clash Ternana-Entella at Liberati (with Pescara, playing on Saturday, at Campobasso). Second consecutive useful result for Milan Futuro, who after the equalizer in Campobasso added time gave breathing space to the standings by narrowly overtaking Gubbio (1-0): Chaka Traorè solved the problem in the first half, then Camarda – back with the U23s – scored save a penalty from Venturi but that was enough to regain a success that had been missing in the league since the end of October (his deputy Alessio Baresi was on the bench in place of the suspended Bonera). Another change on the bench is worth mentioning: after the defeat in the match against Ascoli, Sestri Levante sacked Andrea Scotto.

group c

Test of strength from league leaders Benevento, who overcame Trapani (2-1) and extended the lead to 6 points over second-placed Cerignola: Lescano broke the balance just before half-time, then substitute Lanini took over and equalised. penalty – contested – and with his brace he scores the overtaking in the 90th minute (in injury time, Bifulco posts a goal that comes close to equalising). While waiting for the postponement (Giugliano-Monopoli), Avellino climbs to third place by overcoming Sorrento (1-0): De Cristofaro unlocks it at the start, then Iannarilli’s saves secure the result for a success that has been missing for more than a month. Catania’s top five in Taranto, in a match of great tradition: this time, however, the difference in values is too wide in favor of Mimmo Toscano’s team, which wins by a landslide (5-1) taking the lead already in the first half with Ierardi, Stoppa and Inglese , then shortens Guarracino but enriches the spoils with Montalto and the 2006 class Forti, a talent promoted by the Primavera. Picerno starts running again, at the same time fueling Turris’ crisis: in Basilicata it ends 2-0, a goal in each half from captain Esposito (first in the league) and Bernardotto, the guests can complain about the hit crossbar (at 1 -0) from Casarini. After six draws in a row, Casertana took the high point by winning in Crotone (3-2): Tumminello’s brace seemed to make up for the initial double advantage of Carretta and Proia, but then Manuel Iori’s team definitively regained the lead thanks to Bianchi . Juventus Next Gen has also relaunched, returning to the hands of Massimo Brambilla: the second success in a row arrives on the Cavese pitch, with the signing of Simone Guerra at the start of the second half.
