Modena is smiling again after three consecutive defeats. Sottil’s team got a taste of the three points again after more than a month by beating bottom-placed Pescara 2-0 at home. It all happens in the first half, with goals from Zampano – capable of overcoming Desplanches and depositing into an empty net – and De Luca, tap-in on a tower from a corner by Nieling. For Pescara a lot of fight, but little quality: overall not a match to remember aesthetically. Modena is back in the playoff zone and is now sixth. Gorgone’s team, however, must change gear if they want to get out of the red zone. At 5.15pm Palermo-Spezia ends the 20th day of Serie B.
