Bayer Leverkusen will be without goalkeeper Mark Flekken and offensive player Nathan Tella in the coming weeks. The Dutchman Flekken suffered a ligament injury in his right knee during the Rhinelander’s 1-0 defeat at TSG Hoffenheim. Tella injured her right foot. Both are therefore not available in the “longer term”, as Bayer 04 announced.
“Things aren’t looking so good for both of them,” coach Kasper Hjulmand suspected shortly after the game. Flekken was substituted after an hour and replaced by Janis Blaswich. Tella had to go out again shortly after he was substituted on.
Leverkusen will play in the Champions League at Olympiacos Piraeus on Tuesday. The next opponent in the Bundesliga is Werder Bremen on Saturday.
