The American racing stable opts for two experienced drivers, so different sources confirm after reportingThe Race and Racingnews365. After a year of absence, Sergio Pérez (35) returns to Formula 1. That also applies to Valtteri Bottas, who will celebrate its 36th birthday next week.
Bottas is currently active as a reserve driver at Mercedes. Pérez is at home after he was sent away from Red Bull Racing after the previous season. He was the teammate of Max Verstappen there for four years.
Cadillac will probably announce the choice for both drivers later this month. With the arrival of the American racing stable there will be eleven teams on the grid next year. Cadillac will ride a Ferrari engine in the first few years. The intention is that parent company General Motors will come up with its own power source within a few seasons.
