Serbian President announced the results of the referendum on amendments to the Constitution

Almost 60.5% of the referendum participants in Serbia supported the idea of ​​amending the country’s Constitution. This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, transmits news portal.

This result was taken after processing 97% of the ballots, he specified.

According to preliminary data, 39.5% of the voting participants were against the introduction of changes. Another 1% of the votes were invalidated.

According to the president, the turnout in the referendum was about 30%.

Vučić congratulated the Serbs on the results and stated that the citizens had done a “good deed” for the country. He noted that the residents showed commitment to the principles of democracy. According to Vučić, Serbia showed a very positive image to the world community, and there were no serious problems during the voting.
