Sensational comeback for Jong Ajax against Den Bosch, with Jong AZ struggling in Maastricht

Young Ajax has made up for a two-goal deficit against FC Den Bosch. The team from Amsterdam struck in the final phase and scored a spectacular point: 3-3. The evening was a lot more unpleasant for Jong AZ, as they lost no less than 4-0 when they visited MVV Maastricht.

Jong Ajax started the match quite badly. Against FC Den Bosch, penultimate in the first division, they already scored two goals in the first ten minutes. Striker Kacper Koztorz scored twice for the home team in a flashy attack.

The team of coach Dave Vos got off to a dramatic start, but in the twelfth minute Tristan Gooijer immediately did something back for the Amsterdam team: 2-1. Towards half-time, Young Ajax seemed to be looking for the equalizer, but just before half-time FC Den Bosch pulled ahead thanks to Rick Mulders’ 3-1. Although Young Ajax has managed to limit the goals conceded considerably in recent weeks, it conceded three before halftime.

Comeback

The team from Amsterdam found it difficult to score the tying goal. Substitute Sarfo was the only one who managed to create some danger, but Ricardo Henning came closest to a goal on behalf of Den Bosch.

In the 84th minute it became exciting again. Gooijer acted as a battering ram for Jong Ajax and tapped in his second of the evening from a cross: 3-2. In the absolute final phase, Young Ajax even received a penalty after Jayden Banel was knocked down. Face to face with goalkeeper Joey Roggeveen, Godts scored the 3-3. In injury time, Godts had to leave the field on a stretcher after sustaining an injury.
