A letter from Vos shows that Visseren is behind the net due to her own clumsiness. For example, Senator Visseren has written to House Speaker Vos that she feels compelled to “separate from the faction of Messrs Nicolaï and Koffeman”. She also writes that she will “continue as the faction of the Party for the Animals.”

Fox: Pisces has seceded

But based on the regulations of the Senate, it appears that this is not possible. According to Vos, Visseren has ‘separated’ herself with her letter and she can ‘only continue as the Visseren faction’. “Members Nicolaï and Koffeman will continue to form the PvdD faction together,” Vos concludes.

That immediately poses a new problem: Senator Koffeman – also founder of the party – said just before the elections that he tore up his membership card of the Party for the Animals. He criticizes the course taken by party leader Esther Ouwehand, with whom he has had no contact for years.

Senator expelled as a member

Senator Peter Nicolaï previously told De Telegraaf that he is being expelled as a member of the Party for the Animals by the party board, but that he will contest this. Nevertheless, both gentlemen may continue to call themselves members of the Senate faction of the Party for the Animals.
