At the AZ training complex, the promises are trained hard. Someone who immediately stands out because of his drive and commitment is Sem van Duijn. “He has the advantage that he is a very hard worker. In addition, he is eager to learn. That is always nice as a trainer,” says his coach Leeroy Echteld full of praise. The attacker himself walks around with a big smile at the Alkmaar professional club. “I learn here every day.”
Other life
A lot has changed in the past year in the life of the young attacker. From amateur footballer, the born Leidenaar went into professional life. “Training four or five times a week requires a completely different intensity. I really had to get used to that,” said the self -conscious Van Duijn.
In his debut season, Van Duijn until now came to 22 performances and six goals. “I wanted to score more, but I am satisfied for now.” Leeroy Echteld adds that something can still improve on a technical level. “In terms of ball treatment it can be even better, but he absolutely has it to get the first from AZ.”
