Selfridges London appoints Andrew Keith as CEO

British luxury department store Selfridges has appointed Andrew Keith as the new CEO of its London branch. He is moving from his previous role as Managing Director, which he has held since 2020

The change was quietly made by the company in June 2023 and is in line with a wider restructuring of roles within the Selfridges group.

There were a number of leadership changes during the year. In October, André Maeder was announced as the group’s new CEO, succeeding Stefano Della Valle. Della Valle took over the reins of the retailer in 2021 following the joint acquisition of Selfridges by Central Group and Signa Holdings. However, in recent weeks, power has shifted to Thailand’s Central Group after Signa filed for bankruptcy and eventually began a restructuring process.

Prior to Selfridges, Keith was President of Hong Kong retailer Lane Crawford and Joyce, which he joined in 2001 and where he managed more than 20 stores. His appointment coincides with the appointment of Judd Crane as Executive Buying Director. In this role, he succeeded Sebastian Manes, as the industry magazine Women’s Wear Daily originally reported.

Crane returns to the luxury retail group after stepping down from his position as director of women’s fashion and accessories in 2016 and then serving as CEO of Proenza Schouler for over two years. Like Keith, Crane also worked at Joyce for a time, where he served in the role of senior vice president, brand, merchandising and retail for nearly two years.
