Kiev (dpa -Afx) – After a new greater attack by Russia with drones, bombs and rockets against Ukraine, President Wolodymyr Selenskyj complained about “real reactions” of the West. “Unfortunately, there is no reasonable, strong reaction in the world to everything that is happening,” said Selenskyj in his daily video address. Above all, there is no reaction to a steady increase in the extent and audacity of the attacks. “This is exactly why (Kremlin boss Vladimir) Putin does that: He just laughs at the West, about its silence and the absence of determined countermeasures.”
So far, Moscow has rejected all the proposals to end the war or at least stop the attacks. “Russia is trying openly to destroy our civilian infrastructure, and right now, before winter, the gas infrastructure, electricity generation and transmission,” said Selenskyj.
The Russian military had attacked Ukraine on Sunday night with 53 rockets and several waves of attack drones. Five people died in the attacks, 18 others were injured.
In this context, Selenskyj complained that the Russian attack drones contained components “that are still delivered from western countries and various neighboring countries in Russia”.
