Secret documents show that Assad regime even went after children: “traitors” were tortured and killed

Secret documents from the Syrian intelligence services, seen by the British newspaper ‘The Sunday Times’, reveal how the regime of ousted dictator Bashar al-Assad set up a huge network of informants to keep an eye on everyone. In addition, people were forced (or tempted) to spy on family, friends and neighbors, looking for possible “traitors”. They were tortured and killed. Even children were not safe, it turns out.
