French pilot Ogier, who completed the 18-stage race in Monaco in 3 hours, 19 minutes and 6.1 seconds, won the first race of the season.
Ogier took his 10th stage win in the Monte Carlo Rally and his 62nd stage win in the WRC.
Ogier, who won the WRC championship 8 times in his career, also improved his record as the pilot who won the Monte Carlo Rally the most times.
Great Britain’s Elfyn Evans came in second, 18.5 seconds behind his teammate, and French Adrien Fourmaux from the Hyundai Shell Mobis team came in third, 26 seconds behind the leader.
The second leg of the WRC will be held in Sweden on February 13-16.
