Sébastien Haller is optimistic despite his testicular cancer diagnosis: the BVB star reported to his fans on Thursday evening with a photo from the clinic and gave an update on the treatment.
“I wanted to let you know that step 1 is complete! I would like to thank BVB and the medical team who took excellent care of me. A big thank you also to all the hospital nurses for their support,” Haller wrote in French a post on Instagram. In the photo, Haller is shirtless in the hospital bed, shows his thumb up and smiles at the camera.
A testicular tumor was discovered in Haller on Monday. The BVB star left the training camp immediately for treatment.
A number of his football colleagues commented on his Instagram post with a heart and wished him a speedy recovery. The former DFB player Marco Russ wrote “Stay strong brother, keep fighting.”
