The basketball players of the Telekom Baskets Bonn have to accept a personnel setback on the way to the desired first championship title.
Captain Karsten Tadda will be out for the rest of the season, as Bonn announced before the third semi-final game at MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg.
Tadda “underwent a minor surgical procedure on her back and therefore did not travel to Ludwigsburg,” it said. 34-year-old Tadda is expected back for pre-season in the summer.
After the elimination of Alba Berlin and Bayern Munich, the Champions League winner is considered the favorite for the national championship title. Ratiopharm Ulm has been the first finalist since Friday evening, having knocked out the favorites from Berlin and Munich in the playoffs so far.
