Search for Hebe and Sanne continues this morning

After the police stopped looking for the missing Hebe (10) and her supervisor Sanne (26) late on Tuesday evening, the search will continue on Wednesday morning. “Now that it is dark, the search becomes more difficult, so the search will stop and we will continue tomorrow. The investigation continues unabated and we are running all the information we have so far,” the police said around 11 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

“We don’t know enough yet. Unfortunately, we have not been able to find Hebe and Sanne yet,” said Stijn van Griensven, head of operations of the East Brabant police, in talk show Jinek around that time. For the time being, all scenarios are taken into account. It is not yet possible to say whether it is a question of a kidnapping or an accident.

“What we know is that Hebe and Sanne had a very close relationship, which also applies to both families. But that does not affect the fact that we are still taking all scenarios into account at this stage of the investigation,” Van Griensven continued. Hebe is severe, multi-disabled and needs care at any time of the day. Her supervisor Sanne can offer her that, explained Van Griensven. “We don’t know if she’s without Sanne’s care now, but she can’t function on her own.”

Last seen
At the end of Monday afternoon, Sanne picked up Hebe in Raamsdonksveer to take her home. They departed from Sint Theresiastraat in a black Kia Picanto with registration number PR-425-K. The missing pair would have been last seen on the A59 near Waspik.

On Tuesday, the police investigated, among other things, after a report of a car in the water at the Hooiweg in Waspik, but that yielded nothing. At about 11:30 a.m., the police reported that the search had been completed. “Unfortunately, we did not find anything there. We continue to look for Hebe and Sanne with all our might.”
