In the first quarter, Dow Jones-Scout24 benefited from strong demand for memberships in both the professional and private segment and a recovery of the transaction business. The operator of the IMMOSCOUT24 online marketplace in the MDAX also increased its margin thanks to higher efficiency and scale effects. The forecast for the year as a whole was confirmed.
Sales rose by 16 percent to 158 million euros. Organically, growth was 12.1 percent. The result before interest, taxes and depreciation (EBITDA) from ordinary business activities increased by 18 percent to 93.7 million euros. This resulted in an Ebitda margin of 59.5 percent after 58.4 percent in the previous year. The bottom line was Scout24 50 million euros, that was a good quarter more than in the previous year.
In the current year, sales should continue to climb by 12 to 14 percent for the previous year. The EBITDA margin from ordinary business is intended to increase up to 50 basis points. The main focus should be on the increase in EBITDA and the margin.
