The walker on the Strasbourg procedure: “He will clarify if I had a fair trial, or not: I will go all the way”
The European Court of Human Rights on 21 August decided to officially open the procedure against the Swiss government on the basis of the appeal presented in 2022 by Alex Schwazer, after the refusal by the Swiss court to allow the revision of the arbitration sentence following the archive by the Italian judicial authority of the criminal proceeding against the walker “for not having committed the fact”.

“As we have always said, we will go all the way possible with all possible means and for this reason we have also done this procedure before the European Court of Human Rights, the last possible process as regards sports justice. It was May from 2022, now we have passed another rock, but the ending is all still to be written,” said Schwazer who recently resumed competing and collaborates as an athletic consultant for the FC Sudtirol. As for the eight -year -old forced stop, he commented: “As I always say, I am not regretted, because I, as well as all the people who have been close, have always given everything and we managed to get to where it could be arrived. Everything here, so I don’t have regrets. The Strasbourg procedure will clarify if I had a fair trial, or not, I will not enter the matter, I am always serene”.
