Schouten track record at 3,000 meters, Scheperkamp takes silver in team sprint

Irene Schouten was in top form again today. The skater from Hoogkarspel won ‘her’ 3,000 meters in Heerenveen at the World Cup and immediately improved the track record. Merijn Scheperkamp took silver in the team sprint with Hein Otterspeer and Jeroen Wennemars.

Schouten finished second in the 3,000 meters in the Norwegian Stavanger last week and was keen on rehabilitation. She raced to a time of 3:54.04. The Canadian Isabelle Weidemann and Norwegian Ragne Wiklund stayed ahead of the North Holland. She improved her own track record in Heerenveen with the final time.
