Schmidt does not want to put too much pressure on Madueke at PSV and has good news about Ramalho Dutch football

In the run-up to the match against Vitesse, PSV coach Roger Schmidt was able to announce a few windfalls. Captain Marco van Ginkel is fit again and can in principle be part of the match selection on Saturday. All other players remained fit in the cup match with NAC and are all available.

Good news for PSV is that André Ramalho’s recovery is going well and that he may already be available in the course of March. “Next week the cast will be off his leg,” Schmidt said Friday afternoon. ,,A return in April seems too late to me, if I look at it now. I’m sure André will do everything he can to be deployable earlier. That might work. He can rebuild from next week and we’ll see how fast it goes.”

Be careful with Madueke

This week, with Noni Madueke and Carlos Vinicius, the coach greeted two pawns who were important earlier this season and who returned after injury. Madueke immediately gave PSV a different face in the cup match with NAC. “But let’s not put too much pressure on him,” said Schmidt. “We are very happy that he is back and fit, but we are taking it cautiously after what happened last year.” He can be used against Vitesse, but the trainer did not want to say whether he will start in the base.

At PSV, in addition to Ramalho, Maxi Romero (muscle injury) and Ryan Thomas (knee) are also out. Romero will return in April and there is no prognosis for Thomas yet. Schmidt hopes to see him in action this season, but is not sure if that will be possible.
