In 2021 Schiphol was the fourth airport in Europe after Istanbul Airport, Sheremetyevo International Airport near Moscow and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. This is apparent from the annual figures presented on Tuesday by the trade association ACI Europe. The organization reports a fragile recovery in passenger numbers, but also saw that new variants of the corona virus hindered further recovery in 2021.
