2. Bundesliga on Saturday
The promotion race in the 2nd Bundesliga remains exciting. Both Schalke and Werder Bremen scored three points in their home games. Sandhausen was allowed to celebrate in the basement duel.
Schalke 04 in the race to return to the Bundesliga, at least for the time being, pushed back into the promotion zone. The Royal Blues won the chasing duel with Jan Regensburg despite being behind at the break thanks to an increase in performance at the beginning of the final phase 2:1 (0:1) and with their second win in a row they moved up into the top group. Regensburg, on the other hand, can hardly keep up with the leading teams after their second game in a row without a win.
