Schalke 04 has signed Finn Porath by Ligakon competitor Holstein Kiel. The 28 -year -old midfielder was presented as a new addition on Thursday evening, signing a contract for two seasons.
Porath, whose contract would have expired in the storks at the end of the season, costs 500,000 euros plus possible bonuses. Its market value is 1.7 million euros, for Holstein it was the last chance of a transfer. The native Eutiner has been active in Kiel since 2019, previously he ran for SpVgg Unterhaching and the HSV, where he was trained. For the KSV, Porath played most of the games by far, in 186 missions he contributed 15 goals and 16 templates. With Porath, the transfer expenditure of S04 is increasing to almost EUR 1.2 million this summer, the opposite income from player sales of around 8.3 million euros.
