Schalke 04 before loan from Spartak Moscow’s Kral

Medical check on Wednesday

In all probability, FC Schalke 04 is about to transfer Alex Kral (24). As “Sky” reports, the newly promoted Bundesliga player is loaning the midfielder from Spartak Moscow for a season without a purchase option. Accordingly, the right foot is expected on Wednesday for the medical check and should travel to the training camp in Austria after passing the check. Meanwhile, the Royal Blues announced on Twitter that “formal issues” were still pending for a commitment. But it is correct that the club intends to make a commitment.

Spartak Moscow announced on July 1 that the Czech international had suspended his contract, which runs until 2024. Kral is thus using the special transfer regulation for foreign professionals in Russia and Ukraine, which has been extended by FIFA until 2023 as a result of the war of aggression. The defender was on loan at West Ham United last season but barely got any playing time and made just six appearances in all competitions. His market value with the “Hammers” fell from 10 to currently 7 million euros, which would still make him the most valuable addition to the Royal Blues in the current transfer period. So far, the “Knappen” brought ten new players. In addition to Schalke, Hertha BSC and RB Leipzig have recently been linked to Kral.
