The legendary Augusta golf course witnessed a scary situation on Friday when three large trees fell on the 17th fairway due to high winds.

There were a lot of people, both players and spectators, because the second round of the Masters tournament was underway. It had to be stopped because of what happened.

– Ten people could have died. Here was a life threatening, truly shocking, golf expert Wilhelm Schauman commented on Discovery’s broadcast.

The organizer of the tournament announced on Twitter that fortunately no one was injured in the dangerous situation, and the second round continues on Saturday morning at 8:00 local time, i.e. at 15:00 Finnish time.

The second round had already been stopped 75 minutes earlier due to the threat of thunder, but the first break lasted only 21 minutes.

Viktor Hovland, Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm shared the top spot in the tournament after the first round. The trio played the opening round to a score of seven under par.
