SC Paderborn is strengthening with striker Richmond Tachie (22) from Borussia Dortmund’s reserves. As the second division club announced on Thursday, the attacker signed a two-year contract that will be valid from the coming season. Tachie comes on a free transfer as his contract in Dortmund expires.
Born in Berlin, he switched from Viktoria Köln to BVB in 2020, where he was only used in the second team and has played 69 games (16 goals/18 assists) so far. In the current season, Tachie has collected 13 points in 29 appearances, which is only surpassed by Berkan Taz (23) with 17 goals within the team.

“Richmond fits our style of play very well with his speed and technical skills. He is also very hard-working and has all the prerequisites to assert himself in the 2nd Bundesliga,” commented sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth on the commitment. Tachie is the second new signing after Kai Klefisch (22), who comes on a free transfer from Viktoria Köln.
