SC Paderborn brings Michel replacement from Russia

Second division soccer club SC Paderborn has signed a new attacker after losing top scorer Sven Michel. The Swiss Kemal Ademi comes from the Russian first division club FK Khimki and has been given a contract until the end of the season.

The SCP announced this on Monday evening. Michel had previously joined the first division club Union Berlin, where he replaces Max Kruse.

Ademi will “enrich our squad with his international experience and the guard size of 1.95 meters,” said Paderborn’s sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth.

Ademi, born in Villingen-Schwenningen, already played for the second team at TSG Hoffenheim. He made his breakthrough in the 2019/2020 season at Swiss top club FC Basel. He then moved to the Russian league via Fenerbahce in the summer of 2021.
