SBS 6 is moving the seasonal premiere of Medisch Centrum West with the debut of Wendy van Dijk. Otherwise she would be directly opposite the final debate. “That is very awkward.”
Wendy van Dijk would actually be there from the start, but her daughter’s sickbed made sure that she had to let the first season of Medical Center West go. She had time for the second series and she debuts as a board member Marleen Boshuizen, who wants to prepare the hospital for a new future.
‘This is not handy’
SBS 6 actually wanted to premiere the second season on October 28, but former channel boss Tina Nijkamp urgently advised not to do that. “Medical Center West is moving from broadcasting evening. From Sunday to Tuesday at 8.30 pm. Remarkable! So weekly!”
She continued: “However, the start date 28 October is perhaps not very smart. Is probably the evening of the closing debate on NPO 1. Pract. SBS 6, isn’t it better to start week later?”
Two weeks later
The SBS top now opts for eggs for his money, because Wendy is postponed. “Aha! On 25 August I asked SBS 6 if it was not more convenient to give medical center a different start date. October 28 there is the final debate of the elections and the first day of the Marco Borsato trial.”
When we can now admire Wendy for the first time with a stethoscope on her neck? “SBS 6 just let me know that they have now moved the start to November 11. Better !!!”
