Understanding Multiple Sclerosis through the MS-PAVED Pilot Study
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a complex neurological condition that affects individuals in numerous ways. The recently launched pilot study, MS-PAVED, seeks to explore the daily lives, challenges, and healthcare experiences of those affected by this disease. This collaborative research initiative, orchestrated by the MS Research and Project Development Company (MSFP) in cooperation with the German MS Society (DMSG), places the voices of individuals with MS at the forefront.

MS-PAVED aims to systematically record these critical perspectives, thereby enhancing future research and healthcare strategies.

How to Participate in the MS-PAVED Study
Participation in the MS-PAVED pilot study is open to all adults living with Multiple Sclerosis in Germany. The study is conducted online via a secure documentation platform and involves three rounds of surveys.
- Initial Survey: A brief 15-minute questionnaire.
- Follow-Up Survey: 30 to 45 minutes conducted a few days later.
- Final Survey: Another round lasting 15 to 45 minutes, held after three to six months.
Participants may also opt to answer additional, voluntary questions about their experiences with the study, which provides a richer dataset for further exploration. The overall study timeline extends from nine to twelve months.
Voluntary Participation and Data Privacy
Participating in the study is completely voluntary. Participants retain the right to withdraw at any time without any consequences. Data handling is in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal and study data are processed separately and anonymized for research purposes.
