The US running shoe brand Saucony has opened its first flagship store in the United Kingdom. The new store is located in the 4 James Street in London and was officially opened on June 21, as the company belonging to the Wolverine World Wide Inc. group announced on Wednesday.
However, the London location should be more than a pure sales area: with an integrated café, rooms for community events and 100 lockers for running groups, the store sees itself as a meeting point for the local running community.
“Our goal was a place that inspired and connects – in the interests of our brand,” said Cameron Black, Vice President and General Manager Saucony EMEA.
In terms of design, the store was inspired by the Saucony Creek in Kutzown, Pennsylvania – the natural backdrop after which the brand was named.
