The team of national coach Sarina Wiegman lost 2-1 to a technically superior France in the stadium in the stadium in Zurich.

The hits of France fell in the first half and arrived in the name of Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Sandy Baltimore. Keira Walsh made the only English goal towards the end of the exciting match.

The English team is the next opponent of the Dutch national team, which previously won 3-0 against Wales on Saturday. Due to the defeat, a defeat for Wiegman & Co against the Netherlands seems to be fatal.

England started the game well and seemed to take the lead after fifteen minutes. Alessia Russo shot in the rebound after the French keeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin had put a bet by Lauren Hemp. The VAR intervened because Beth Mead’s offside had been found.

The French team then started to insist and becoming more and more threatening. A lob from Sakina Karchaoui ended up in the side net, but with a quick outbreak in the 36th minute it was hit. Delphine Cascarino gave a cross from the right and striker Katoto worked the ball in the goal behind goalkeeper Hannah Hampton. Three minutes later, Baltimore skillfully misled two English defenders and doubled the lead: 2-0.

After the break it was almost 3-0 for France. After another defensive mistake at England, Grace Geyoro had the chance to score, but keeper Hampton managed to eliminate the ball just before the goal line. Wiegman tried to bring new impetus to the English team with switches, but only in the final phase did Keira Walsh score. The French team of national coach Laurent Bonadei resisted an English final offensive and with difficulty crossing the line.
