The first time in the prize competitions Sara Killinen left without a result in the European shot put qualifying round in Munich.

– I left as stress-free as possible. There wasn’t a particularly big idea that you have to get a result, you have to reach the final and keep, keep, keep, Killinen said.

– On Monday, I did the best throwing workout of my life. He just didn’t leave on Tuesday, he continued.

What does the best throwing practice of life mean?

– The longest training throws of my career, 68 and 69-meter ones, Killinen answered.

A 69-meter one would have been enough for the final…

– Turn the knife in the wound a little more, Lapua Virkiä’s woman smiled.

Long season

Tuesday’s competition was already the fourteenth of the season for the Finn. PASI LEISMA

The 21-year-old athlete, who studies in the United States, is considered in sports circles as a tough talent who sometimes has challenges with pressure.

– First and foremost, I tried too much on Tuesday. Someone had a thought break in the middle of the throw. The technology just didn’t hold up. This is another kind of hustle. It would be so easy if physics could solve it, but technology is technology.

Killinen said at the Kaleva Games that he was very excited about the event. However, he redeemed Joensuu’s ticket to Bavaria by defeating him Suvi Koskinen.

– It’s wonderful to be here in Germany. I hadn’t put any pressure on myself, so it wasn’t like I wanted to release all the secretions from every direction into the yard. Yes, the tension is there, but I don’t think that’s the reason. Vex.

Killinelle’s EC start in Munich was already the fourteenth of the season. The competition season started on April 2 behind the rapako. The record arc of 71.02 slipped in June.

– Press, press, long season. But it would be wonderful to still be able to throw in the Sweden match.
