The NHL club Florida Panthers has made a two-year newcomer contract defender Santtu Kinnusen23, with.

The new Finnish Championship gold medalist Kinnunen played in Tappara this and last season. Kinnunen is from Lahti.

– Santtu is a talented defender who has proven his skills by playing as a professional in Tappara, Finland, Panthers general manager Bill Zito said in a club press release.

The agreement between Kinnunen and Panthers is entry-level-agreement. All entry-level agreements are two-way, meaning the Panthers can choose to send Kinnunen to their farm club to play AHL. The player’s salary in the AHL and NHL is different.

Kinnunen was the most effective defender of the Tappara regular season this season with 23 (4 + 19) power points. In 13 playoff games, he scored two assists.

The Panthers reserved Kinnunen’s player rights for themselves in the summer 2018 booking session in the seventh round of booking round 207.
