This year the Sanremo Festival offered an unprecedented show, including breathtaking performances, exceptional guests and more questionable moments. Beyond the controversies and extravagances, the Festival remains undeniably a competition, an arena where talents compete to win the hearts of the public and the recognition of critics. The goal is the same for all 30 artists in the running: the rampant golden lion, symbol of the city of flowers, which opens the doors to the Eurovision Song Contest. But this is only one piece of a larger mosaic, made up of several other awards with symbolic value.
