Sanne Cant keeps brand new Belgian champion Norbert…

Norbert Riberolle was allowed to populate the starting row for the first time in Otegem with the Belgian tricolor around his shoulders. Cant, who was allowed to do that for fifteen years, was positioned further away. In the end it was Kiona Crabbe who got out of the starting blocks fastest. A group of eight drove away, and a little later Sanne Cant and Aniek Van Alphen took off alone. Just before the finish, Cant opened the throttle a little more, to which the Dutchman could not respond. Sanne Cant takes her first victory after the Belgian Championship in 2024. No first victory in the champion’s jersey for Norbert Riberolle. She had to settle for third place.
